Jay Hedgecock races at Greenville-Pickens Speedway for First Time

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jay Hedgecock has never actually competed in a race at the famed Greenville-Pickens (S.C.) Speedway. Yet the veteran NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver has turned more laps around the half-mile track than a lot of competitors who race at the facility on a weekly basis.

Racing Enterprises announces plans to launch a new
stock car fabrication certification program named -
Hedgecock Racing Academy in August. Jay Hedgecock,
the company's founder and president saw there was a
need in the industry for a training and certification
program that would allow individuals seeking to enter
the motor sports industry to get the vital training
necessary in the area of stock car fabrication.
"Whether you want to be a driver, an owner, a
fabricator, a mechanic, a crew chief or work on the
pit crew - understanding how to fabricate a stock car
from the ground up is the foundation to any motor sports
racing career… our program has been successful
for over 20 years and we have trained dozens of industry
veterans including Jeff Burton and Bobby Labonte - just
to name a few" says Hedgecock from his race shop
in High Point, NC.
 Hedgecock
will offer nine week training program guaranteed to be
intense and effective at teaching the art form of stock
car fabrication. Hedgecock's program is the only one in
the industry that includes building a car from scratch
and track testing it as a class.
